I think you did a great job with your applique fix. I have a kaleidoscope on my todo list and now I know to use my design wall and label my pieces. I love your colors and the way they played out. How are you going to quilt it? Sandi in Florida -
I have no idea on how it will be quilted. I am bringing it to a friend and am thinking metallic gold thread... but I am totally unsure as I have never made a quilt like this before. A lot of bright colors and I DO NOT LIKE invisible thread. Any ideas?
If you make your KK quilt some of my words of advice are to be sure to use the center wedge for your pattern / template construction. I thought I could interchange them but that is why my middle turned off goofy.
My GF is making a KK quilt and she layered 8-10 squares of freezer paper and sewed the drawn lines ( without thread) to make extra patterns. Her quilt seems to be going together much easier then mine did. SHE SAYS SHE LEARNS FROM MY MISTAKES. To be honest I do not know why RICKY TIMS does not make a TEMPLATE to sell for this pattern it sure would be easier and more fun with acrylic templates. I am going to have my window guy cut me out a template when and if I get a perfect pattern.Comment

My DD thinks I do not have enough stress in my life she wants me to make a bed-size Kool Kaleidoscope quilt.... When making this quilt for other than a wall hanging should the fabric be pre-washed.
