    I NEED ADVICE

I'M HAVING TROUBLE WITH MY SUPERIOR THREAD BREAKING .
I HAVE BOTH TOP AND BOBBIN OFF THE SAME SPOOL. I HAVE CHANGED NEEDLES ALSO. MY MACHINE TENSIONS ARE FACTORY SET. HOPE SOMEONE HAS THE ANSWER!

With my masterpiece - I use a top stitch needle - size 90 (larger eye) and then loosen the top tension to abut 2.5. It is a 2-ply extra long staple Egyptian cotton, and a little fragile 0 which in the end helps pieing accuracy - so that is what I do!

Go to the Superior website. They have a fabulous chart that will help you out when using any of your threads. In addition Bob has made some great videos explaining threads, tension & needles. Have them send you their monthly newsletter, it is full of great information.

Coincidentally, earlier today I was watching show #406 and Bob Purcell gives a great demo and really explains how to troubleshoot for the problem when your thread keeps breaking. Hope you can see that show. I think he said the chart is on his website too if you don't get this show series. Karen

Sometimes it is just a bad spool. So after you try everything else, if it is still happening, tell Bob at Superior. He will help you out.
