Barb! That is awesome! My yearbooks were ruined in a flood in the early 80's so I really miss having those memories. Would you tell me more about this yearbook and your daughter's involvement?

What a small world this is and how wonderful that we have this forum to connect.

    Thank you! Geneva

Marilyn - your flowers are so lovely!! I have just had the 2nd summer of my poppies. I love them - they are white with very dark purple centers; almost black. But the first one just opened the day we drove in-laws to Ohio (last Friday) and on Monday when we brought them home and returned to our home, the poppies were nearly done. I assumed they'd all burst forth that weekend. Plus we had some storm go through that must have been hard on them. You have a lovely patch!!

I have a few more new flowers to plant today but must get a quilt done for a customer and then on to some of my work. Plus having a slow start to the day since I just put my foot in my mouth with my husband. Oopsie!

Geneva - Glad you enjoyed seeing my Granddaughters yearbook! She's currently a Sophomore looking forward to being a Junior. She's a member of the Marching Band, Concert Band and Jazz Band. She's taking AAA driving lessons and beginning to look at West Coast Colleges. Yes I agree re the small world and connecting thru the forum!

I've been lurking in the background, so need to catch up a bit. First and foremost, my Hoffman Challenge quilt from 2015, Masquerade, was juried into the Houston IQA show! Can't believe it! She will be in there playing with the big girls! So, I am going! The one and only class I will be taking is the one from Danny (Liu) Amazonas. If you are not familiar with his work, just Google him, or go to Pinterest. Amazing stuff!

We spent a few days with the granddaughters in Madison, WI. I shared with them a few simple quilts on Pinterest, and now Mom says they are raiding her fabric basket! Awesome!

Good luck Rosemary, at the FOQ quilt show! Looking forward to seeing your entry with a ribbon on it!

Oh...........the grands gifted me with pink eye, and I've been trying to sew right through it. Not fun!

Hi All, I have had an exceptionally busy summer taking 2 months off work to finish this quilt and work on another one. So this quilt, Flourish on the Vine was all hand applique and for about 3 months after Christmas she and I weren't speaking. I even contemplated not finishing it, which I never do. But when we both finished pouting I finished her during my work break and am very glad I did. She just came from our local county fair and she won Grand Champion, as well as, Colorado Quilt Council Award of Excellence. She is now on her way to the Colorado State Fair in Pueblo and the judging is Saturday, which I will be attending. From there I hope to enter her into National shows.

                              Hugs to you both. Geneva
