several weeks ago, there was a posting of a tutorial/demo of how to cut fabric for paper piecing so that it would always fit when flipped over. can someone show me where I might find it? thank you

Tillie, I don't know where the info was, but I can tell you what I do, for irregular pieces: I roughly trace the piece onto copy paper, then add about a half inch all around, for seam allowance plus the extra we need for the imprecision factor. I will often put a grainline on the piece. Then I can use that paper template to mark and roughly cut pieces. It always works. Happy piecing, Kathy

Have you looked at show 602 and1213 with Carol Doak?

I second Kathy's technique. When you have assymmetrical pieces, be sure to mark which side is up! Unless, of course, you have the "twin" of that piece somewhere else in the block.
