Paducah, KY or Houston, TX quilt shows 2017

I know this seems to be a bit premature of a question, but does anyone know of a bus trip to either Paducah or Houston next year? I've taken a few bus trips, to Paducah and the Chicago quilt shows organized by quilt shops or guilds and had a great time. I would appreciate any info offered to point me in the right direction to find out. Thank you in advance.

Luann's Coaches from the Appleton and Green Bay, Wisconsin, area usually does something to Paducah. I'm not sure how far away that would be for you, but if you want more info contact Evergreen Quilt Guild in Green Bay. If you have any trouble getting in touch with them, pm me with your personal email, and I'll forward the guild info. I lived there for several years before moving to South Carolina. I never took the bus trips, but knew others that did.

Thanks, I'll check out the bus company. It's only 3 -4 hours away. I took my last bus trip to Chicago through a store in Appleton. If you would forward my email to the guild I would appreciate it. I'll send it via p.m.. Thanks

Hi Quiltcamp. I can't help you with your quest, but I wanted to say Hi. My son lives in Chassell and his wife teaches in L'Anse. We usually get up to see them at least once a year. I always make it to the Portage House quilt shop. Do you go to that shop, or is there any closer? Marquette maybe? I live in Missouri and usually just take a day trip to Paducah. It is hard to see it all in a day, but finding a motel room is almost impossible. It is a great show and worth any trouble to get to it.

Hi Iorra, I often, maybe too often, go to the Portage Quilt House. In fact I was there today. I went to Paducah 12 years ago, via a bus trip from the eastern end of the U.P. It was a good time to just be able to visit instead of thinking about driving. I just was wondering if any shops around, 1 - 2 hundred mile radius, was going to have a bus trip. Ideally I would love to go to Houston.

I agree. I really enjoy the fun and friendship on the bus trips. I hope you find one that suits you.
