    Light Box

    Hello quilting friends,
I have been struggling with vertigo for the past few weeks. Letters swim around when trying to read or use a computer, and have been making me feel nauseous, so I haven't logged onto The Quilt Show until today. I appreciate the good advice. I have ordered the largest light box I could afford - 16.4" x 22.4" from Monoprice. $47.99. It is supposed to be ultra-thin and not get hot.

Thank you, Geneva, Jdeluka, Rosemary, Barb, Marilyn, Sharon and Kathy for your help! You are the bestest!

Can anyone recommend a light box that doesn't get very hot, and is large - hopefully at least 15" x 30?"

My window. I use a window looking outside to trace everything. All you need is some scotch tape. Works great for me. B)

I bought this on Amazon several years ago (although it was only about $70 when I originally purchased it). Was very happy with the size. It has a nice bright, adjustable LED light, very flat and light weight - slides right behind my desk when not in use. My on/off switch is a little touchy - tends to brighten/dim the screen rather than turn off the light but unplugging it always works just fine when done!

How about a glass topped table with a side light under it?

Hi Judith - I have a 10x12 LightTracer Light Box from ARTOGRAPH slant top stays nice and cool, they also carry 12X18 box. I realize that's not the size you are looking for but here's a link: http://www.hayneedle.com/product/artographlightracerii.cfm

Try amazon...LEDs under $100 Ones I've seen are pretty good. Thin and light too.

My hubby built one and he used the LED light strips from the hardware store and it doesn't get hot.
