I have just purchased one of these frames and set it up. Looks good and I know I can use a 440 or 730 on it with reduced quilting space. Now all I need is advice. I am about to attach the leaders tomorrow and get a scrappy quilt ready to practise with and before adding the 730 to the carriage I will ensure it is well cleaned and oiled. Everything has gone well with the setup so far. I suppose there will be a pain threshold to go through. I haven't done much FMQ on my Bernina 730 and it didn't turn out too badly but my shoulders took the strain and hurt so I looked around for a suitable frame and settled upon the Series 7 Bernina Quilt Frame.

Congrats on your new toys! I loved traveling around Jersey a few years back. A friend of mind found a group of long arm quilters that she learned a lot from. I don't suppose there are too many others there that you can join with? Yahoo groups had some good discussion groups for the 830 which helped me a lot. Perhaps there is a Yahoo discussion group for the 730 and it's quilting frame?
