    Purchased a Vintage Quilt

Hi, I purchased a small patch quilt at a church sale in New Hampshire last weekend. I am hoping someone could tell me what to call the flowers that where stitched on top. I will be selling it and don't really know what the value is? Thanks,Donna

        Hi Donna,
Are the flowers individual pieces stitched or are they solid pieces that have been cut out and stitched? Background fabrics look like a mix of wool and cotton? Is the border velvet? Any idea how old the quilt is? Based on age and condition I'd say $50 - $100 dollars??

It is a very pretty quilt, but I have no idea of what it is called, or the value of it. There are some appraisers at the quilt shows who may be able to help. They charge for this service, but I don't know the price of that either. In my area, many of the quilters go to Ann Hazelwood to have their quilts dated and appraised. I am sure their are some appraisers close to you. Good Luck.
