    Soooo good, fab idea, Wendy
That way you get the best of everybody - as they'll be doing something they really want to - love it!
    :woohoo:

Great that Abdree and Barb are on board as well
This is going to be so much fun!!!

They did some work on the outside of our building, so that half my balcony furniture has been piled in the living room for the lastly two weeks - now finished - so hopefully i get to do part two of the mystery quilt on the weekend

We,re getting a nice group going.

Do you want me to cut this one off at 12 members, or wait to see what our final count is?

I'm game either way, just don't want anyone to drop out because it got to be too many rows. Of course, they could make more than one if their space dictated that's!!

Just wondering what your thoughts are on this?

Don't shut it Luann we can start another group or mix and match. That was the trouble with CW not everyone could join in.

              Ok, executive decision:
This will be open to adding names until Dec 1st. After that I'll be taking names for the next time,,
If we get a large group we could make it just go for that many months, if you get too many rows for the quilt size you want, you can make them into a winter coat!! Like Joseph's Coat in The Bible. I wonder if his dad quilted,,

Since I need at least a 38" chest, I guess I will have to add sashing to the front edges to get it to fit as a coat.

Perhaps I will just keep to making a bed quilt.

Ok, I'm officially in. I would never forgive myself if I didn't! Just hope my skills compare to all of you talented ladies! If your lucky your piece might include some "help" from my little men too ;-)

Luann, I'm going to e-mail you my specifics later tonight after the boys go to bed

Lotti, that bear looks like he was playing leap frog and decided to take a break.
Was he looking at something specific, or just gazing off into the distance, much like I do, when I think of being physically active! LOL

I am home from my whirlwind trip of seeing granddaughters and a new nephew. Such fun but we are exhausted.

I've read the latest batch of comments on this thread and I am literally crying laughing. I love you guys! A coat......

I'm thinking that I want a row from each of you. And I agree with Lotti, don't stress, make it a piece of you, and keep it simple. And I would add to my request, make the row 6" or less wide. It's a row.... I can add different heights together. It would be nice to have them all 36" long. Luann, would you add that to my wish list?

I really don't know what I would do with out you.

So, shall we harrass ritzy, Lorchen, Rita and...... to join us?

Thank you LuAnn for doing this for us.

The brain has been ticking over here - did you smell the hot diesel oil?

Initially I was thinking of conventional patterns, which would entail wasteage of portions of cloth. Then I thought that 36" long sleeves will look very silly on me. Then I remembered the perfect pattern for this :woohoo: it is called the ' bog coat' and has no waste at all. I will have to do some patterning and working out, but it is definitely possible B)
