So exciting Nancy!!! Good for you! Your quilt is beautiful. What an experience it will be for you. I wish I could cheer for you in person but I can't go to Houston this year since our third grandchild is due on Oct 29th.

Marilyn, life has been getting in the way so I have had to put the focus elsewhere. I have been making some quilts but not as much as I would like. I finished my 'inspired by Libby quilt' but found out that it was 1/2" short of the required size for Birmingham Festival of Quilts, which was a bit of a bummer. It now graces the wall in my dining room and is really very nice.

Then I finished making a scrap quilt which is now a spare for a guest bed.

I also completed a crazy quilt which involved stitching scraps onto a 5" foundation fabric, joining squares together in groups of 4 and sashing with white fabric and alternating red and blue cornerstones. That one went to a cousin.

I am now working away on Wedding Quilt No 2 for my niece who is getting married in mid December. I still have quite a way to go with this one but I am getting there slowly but surely. This is how it looks so far. The centre medallion is from Sue Garman's 'Ruffled Roses' quilt here on TQS in 2011(?). My niece loves purple and pink, so that's what she is getting!

I am also working away on the BOM slowly but surely and I will post photos of that in that thread sometime soon. Not liking the instructions and definitely gave up on the half-size measurements because it was just too small for me.

So not as productive as I would like to be but enough to be getting on with don't you think? :cheer:

Rita~ You make me chuckle. Rita's "not as productive as I would like to be" is more productive than most! Love the pictures. Lucky cousin and niece. I totally agree about this year's BOM instructions. Janet Stone's excellent step-by-step instructions last year may have spoiled me, but I really think this year's instructions are far to casual.

Rita it's so nice to see you back here. We have missed you!

I'd have to say that it appears you have been very busy! All your quilts are wonderful. All very different. Your niece is a lucky bride!

I love your inspired by Libby quilt. Very nice.

Wow, Rita! I wish I was half as productive as you are!! All of your quilts are beautiful, but I especially love the wedding quilt. Those colors really speak to me and you piecing/applique are perfect!

Thanks for sharing you pics, Rita. All very nice, but my favourite is the tribute to Libby one. Glad to 'see' you again.
