    LuAnn,
Your fabrics are wonderful. I'm with Terrie, I'm drooling over them. Maybe half to me and half to Terrie?

    Cute visitor Annis!

I love this retreat. You can come and go as you please! I finished my men's charity quilt, but can't seem to upload the pics. Meanwhile here is a rag bunting made for the backyard wedding reception. It's on my clothesline just to show the picture. They hung it between two trees over the "pie Table". I also did a rag bunting for my newly married son's east coast wedding reception: It was easy-peasy and looked darling in it's place.
BTW - I had never heard of 'rag bunting' until I was asked to make one!

Now, I need to figure out how to get that charity quilt up.

Luann...I absolutely LOVE your colors!!! Are the combo ones in Candie Glendenning's class, or are they one you came up with? They are gorgeous!!!

Thanks everybody for your kind comments on my recent dyeing projects. I'm using some of the proportions that Candy gave us in class. I'm working on my own color wheel steps and combos too. Her classes are really worth taking, but they are meant for someone that may want to repeat a certain color or group of colors. If you hate making notes, you gotta love serendipity! And that's a lot of fun also.
Dorothy, you're just gonna have to come over for a few days and play in my sink!!
Terrie, if those kids don't want to keep the buntings, my Granddaughters would love tieing a portion about their waists for "twirly girly skirts"!! I'd probably have to cut longer strips and make one for TheGrams too!!
I'm back to the dye house!!
                Have a great day,
                Luann

                  Terrie --the bunting is beautiful.
                  Luann --amazing fabric !!!

No quilting for me for a few months as i had carpel tunnel release surgery. With hand quilting help from my mom i was able to finish this wall hanging the day before surgery.

                            Dorothy,
I'm taking Candy's class on silk dyeing and enjoying it. If you really want to get into silk dyeing it would be beneficial. Silk fabric and scarves can get pretty expensive unless you're going to craft shows, etc.
Dyeing 103 is the one that has the biggest volume of recipes. Just take your time and don't hesitate to ask her any questions that come up. She's pretty quick to answer.
Just for your info, the recipes for silk and cotton are not identical. You do use the same Procion MX dyes and soda ash, etc and that helps a lot.
I just finished my cleanup from a full day of dyeing. I did 4 color wheels of 15 steps each. Each piece was a generous half yard, so I will be able to have one set of fat quarters, and two sets of fat eighths to sell. I'm just not sure how the colors are going to turn out. It's always so hard to get an idea when things are processing, they look so murky right now???
I'm tired,,, can't think of why,,,
