I look forward to the pictures of the quilts too Brenda. Will be praying for your SIL.
I have been really busy lately. I finished quilting one quilt last night, and put another on the frame. I need to get it quilted and both of them bound before May 7 for our guild quilt show. I also have to bind a wall hanging and two potholders for the show. Besides the quilting, I have been babysitting every day, and also taking my sister to receive IV antibiotics every day. A lot of running!! Her last day is tomorrow, then it will just be a weekly trip to the doctor.
On a fun note, one of my DD's is coming to visit from Ohio on Monday. We are going to a state quild meeting at Missouri Star Quilt Co. for three days. Fun, fun, fun!!! We will be doing some fun quilting here too, before we leave next Thursday.

Brenda you have been productive :cheer: Looking forward to the eye candy.

Lorra, sounds like you have a mixed bag of busy-ness too.

Finally got the binding on this UFO - I am no longer a FMQ virgin, as this is my FIRST big quit with FMQ on it. I was taking out the hearts because they were so wonky and crooked, and my DIL came along and said " Oh, how whimsical!" That did it for me and I finished! An other pair of eyes really helped!

Good grief, I don't know how to make the picture smaller... hope the quilt police don't see this!

Your quilt is whimsical and lovely--glad you finished it and are able to show it off! Besides the quilted hearts that tie in so well with the center heart, I particularly like your choice of colors that complement each other especially how you chose the pink and yellow in the fabrics. Congrats, Terrie!

I love it! Whimsical is a perfect word. You DIL is definitely a keeper! And so is this quilt! I can't wait to see you next venture in FMQ. You're doing great!

Great quilt Terri. One of the best sort - finished

I once read that if you make all of your motifs whimsical, then none of them look out of place... It must be true - I read it in a quilting book :P

I'm a little late joining in, but just found the discussion. This year I have decided to go for culmination of projects. I'm very good at starting things, but have difficulty seeing them thru to the end. I have decided that if I truly do not want to finish something it is OK to pass it on. Sometimes I only wanted to learn the technique and after I did, or during the process, I know it isn't something I will continue with. So, by December 31, 2015 I want less in-progress pieces in my studio.
Anyone interested in my glass bead making supplies? LOL

Hi AnnieLu, how about putting them unfinished in a sample folder to refer back to. Do you have anyone to pass your projects on to unfinished?

I love the fabrics on your profile, did you dye them?

                            I like your quilt, Terri.

Good for you, AnnieLu. Not sure where I first heard that advice, but as I cleaned out before my last move, I also unloaded some unfinished projects. Same thing--started in a class, learned what I needed to learn, but didn't care for the project enough to finish.

Here is a project I've been working on. Slow going as lots of pieces. Recognize the borders?
