Nancy, Your heart is just beautiful. I love that the color of the red thread shows up so beautifully. I like to clearly see the quilting. Very nice work. Thanks for sharing

Beautiful quilting, Nancy. My favorite thread too. I need to order some for my next quilt, but seem to have misplaced my thread charts. Which house, which room, which box??? Surely they have to be around here somewhere but I can't think of where I haven't looked. I spent all day custom quilting a bed runner. It probably took half the day to decide on a pattern. Too late to take a picture. It still needs all of the thread ends hidden and some quilt in-the-ditch which I will do on my Janome later.

        Thanks, everyone!

Annis, I keep my thread charts in the same drawers with my threads. That's the only way I can keep track of them. And if I ever don't put them away, I'm in trouble!

I do have an extra Glide one with my thread at my country home. But the rest of them were at my city home and had the list of the ones I ordered so I would know which ones I don't have yet. I'm gradually trying to get a spool of all of the colors. The last time I remember using them was when I chose colors for my Kaleidoscope quilt. The table I kept them on has been replaced with file cabinets. I thought I put them in a box to carry to my country home but am not sure what I did with the box. I guess I could write down all of the colors I have and look on line to see what I'm missing and order some new charts so I will have them at both places.

I'm slowly collecting all of the colors, too. I put a check mark on the thread chart next to each color I have to keep track. When they add colors, I usually get them right away since they usually put them on sale and then I write the numbers on my chart. It's easier only having one home!

Hmmmm. Maybe I should work some more on my collection when I get my next paycheck.....

Or, Nancy, if you can find your way out here to visit with me, Fil-Tec is about an hour from my house (headquarters/factory)... :P  :woohoo:

I've almost finished quilting my 2nd bed runner over the weekend. It just needs the bottom half of the border. I believe it's time for a dinner break soon. I had enough of these practice blocks that I made in 2008 using Jodi Barrow's SNS method to make 3 bed runners using 14 blocks each. I liked the Hawaiian quilt design for the block, but there wasn't anything in the center so I added the small diamond because it was the only thing I could find quickly in my computer program. I'm not sure I like it that well on the front but it looks okay on the back. I settled for a design for the border as I got tired of searching for one. I believe the next ones I will be doing will have a simple meander. They will go a lot faster. Even though the computer does the sewing it is still a lot of work and a slow process to get the patterns to sew in the right location. I used premosoft polyester thread. There's a couple places on the back where the thread needs fixed, possibly user error.

I've got my thread inventory written down and plan on putting them on a spreadsheet in the computer so I can sort them by number and quickly see what I have or don't have. I have a pretty good selection of Glide but not so many of the other types. Some day I want to put my embroidery machine to use, and the Glide will work well for that.

Lovely Annis it's an interesting quilting pattern. Do you do like me and machine sew the binding to the front?
