    Searching for a certain quilter

    Dear Alex,

I am searching for a quilter that was on your show Simply Quilts. I have tried so many times to find this quilter but to no avail. She made a quilt, wall hanging I believe, that of a lady in a beautiful long green dress. Then bottom of the dress continued below the bottom border of the quilt.

I am praying that you remember this quilter who made this and if she has a web site.

Many thanks to you in getting me started in quilting. It is my life and in my heart and soul. I love that you are on with Ricky Tims and continue your love of quilting. The nicest people are quilters, that is for sure. I have met a lot of nice people along my travels in quilting.

Thank again and have a great day !!!

quaint4900, Why don't you go to Alex's profile page and send her a personal message. I am not sure she follows all the threads on the Forum. I bet she answer's you request whether or not she remembers who you might be refering to.

Didn't Sharon Schamber make a quilt of a lovely lady in a long dress? Can't remember if it was green or red. I think the quilt may have been stolen or lost??

I think I found what might be the quilt you recalled, and as Michelle said, it was probably Sharon Schamber. The quilt is called "A Perfect Moment" and the woman in the quilt you described is wearing a red long gown that goes beyond the border. I found it at:

but I am sure that if you google the title of the quilt, you will find other and better photos as well.

Renata, I never knew the full story of the Emerald Lady quilt. What a shame that it was lost in a fire. And how amazing that Sharon remade the quilt, this time with a Red Gown Lady!!

I looked on HGTV. I didn't realize you could still watch some of the Simply Quilts shows. I'll have to check a few of those out.

              Thank you ladies,

In my mind, I was attached to the Emerald Lady quilt for years, saying that someday I was going to try and make something that gorgeous. I feel sick that Sharon Schamber lost her quilt. She is so gifted. Many thanks to you ladies for helping me find the designer of this quilt. I went to the site of hers that showed the lady in red. WOW, That is everybit as stunning. Thanks again for helping me out. Sue
