    Kathy,
Now I've gotta go and check that out. Lone Star quilt!! I wonder if she's come up with some special papers for that? If so, I know I'll be hooked :|

Hello you new mwmber. I really can't add much new to this thread; most is all said and done, but I love, love, love the TQS site and the gorgeous friends you get to know here. Not only do I learn a lot, but it's so very fun to see a thread in the forum go in a weird direction and then suddenly someone says - oh, this should be about something else and then your back on track.
I think you are clever to have found the forum so soon. It took me quite some time and a bit more before I peeped in ops:

Please check the classroom. TQS gives us so much. This is the cheapest place you can join and it's the last I would cancel.
The BOM's are challenging. I'm not doing them all but I learn from others discussing the difficulties and I download the patterns, because some day I might want to try some of it.
With all this: a heartfelt welcome to you. Hope you come to enjoy it as much as I do.

        I second everything previously posted.
I LOVE TQS!! shouting I know but it is the best, and the rapport between Alex and Ricky and their guests is so natural and the sense of humour coming through the shows makes me laugh. We are like family.
I too joined another show but only stuck it for 1 year.
Nothing beats TQS, LOVE LOVE LOVE it, yes I know I'm shouting again.

Doesn't anyone here wonder what might come out of the new Edyta show? I feel like I need to brace myself, and yet I want whatever comes also. Time to finish up some old UFO's (Yikes - that could be a whole new thread ops: ) and ready for the new year. So many quilts, so little time... :?
Terrie, this thread seems to have become the where to post finished ufo's http://forum/help-im-stuck/4931-help...tion-any-hints Marilyn in particular has been doing rather well

Uniquestitcher, you will find that lots of us joined for one reason, but have stayed for a whole heap of other reasons, for me it was the 2009 BoM - which I might get around to finishing some time ops: But I love coming & chatting on the forum, it is so nice to be able to chat about threads, fabrics & techniques with others who understand what you are going on about, rather than being the only one who knows what you are talking about in the room.

Oh, I forgot one new aspect to explore is the featured DVD. What reminded me was that I just received an acceptance from a famous quilter who will be providing some DVDs to follow Ricky's Grand Finale. I will be able to announce her when the paperwork is done. So be sure to watch the Libby Lehman "A Day of Threadplay" which is on until Dec 31. Ricky starts Jan 1 and the latest addition starts April 1.

How often do they post new shows? I join antoher quilt tv program after this one and at least I don't have pay for past epsiodes and it cost less than one 1/3 what I paid here.
                          Uniquestitched,

Welcome to TQS and welcome to the forum. Yes, Margo is a wealth of information regarding this site. If you are interested in seeing more shows, perhaps you might want to take advantage of the sale on their DVDs. They are $20 right now for each series (13 shows) and that is a bargain price.
I would recommend that you take the tour of the site, but it is outdated. Hopefully (?) they will revise the information soon! Anyway, you can find the tour by clicking on the help button, then select Take the Tour.

Thank you for your info, however to me having to buy the dvd, then why spend money on the membership or whatever it is called. I am stuck with a one year membership it appears. Maybe I will see some benefit in future.

You will. I started my membership a couple of years into the Quilt Show and between the gift certificates and discounts they offer us members, I have the majority of the shows on my account. I love my membership and even though I don't get to visit as often as I would like, I will keep my membership. I promise you will love this community. It's one of the few places on the net that is consistently positive, helpful, and entertaining. =-D
