I like it, Jan! And if he doesn't, you can adopt me! Look forward to seeing how it turns out. :P

I really like black and white quilts! It can be really fun to quilt them with bright colored threads, although your son might not like that.

Thanks for the positive response ladies. I really think he'll like it too. My daughter's reaction was that it's cool. I know the colored thread is out for him though. I'm feeling a bit better today. Hallelujah.
It seems funny my mood is black and white too. Lol, Jan

I have just remembered something about that Moda Layer Cake that I used: Inside it was a sheet of paper that showed about 10 or so different ways of cutting these 10x10 squares, meaning that you don't really need to do any Maths yourself.

How nice, Lorchen. I sent a bali 10" square pack to a good friend, who needs to keep quilting in my opinion. She has since gotten custody of her 5 year old granddaughter who is probably gonna make doing that impossible. She used to have me sew buttons and fix her husband's clothes because she didn't want to sew. She did start a tee shirt quilt for her husband, but that is a UFO for sure. Now she lives 7 hours drive away so we talk on the phone a lot. I may need to get her to send me the bali squares to do a quilt for that granddaughter. They are candy colors, perfect for a girl. I'll have to ask about the Moda ideas at my local quilt shop. They may have some ideas too. Jan
