I have a pattern from a fairly challenging applique quilt that I have completed and no longer can use.
Being 'tight' I can't bear to throw it away, but can I donate it to my guild to either give or raffle away?
No legalities involved?

Very interesting question. I never thought about it before. I know our library lends patterns books so wouldn't that be the same as giving it away to someone else to use?

Lynn, you can sell it as long as it is the original, printed pattern that you bought. Selling photocopies of patterns would be a copyright violation. Selling a pattern is just like selling a handful of old books, a couple of old golf clubs, your grown-up kids transformer toys, your grandmother's favourite teapot, etc.....From the edge of Sherwood Forest, home of Robin Hood
