Yeah - here's my April row from Jen!
Jen used a chevron printed batik to make 1/2 square triangles creating a few similar patterns she then paired the 1/2 squared triangles creating kaleidoscope effects.

Wendy, this is a case of fabric doing the work for me. I created half square triangles as Barb mentioned with a Chevron print put them together into a 4 patch with boarders. I really didn't know what would happen when I created the HSTs with my chevron batik but Barb gave me permission to take a chance and it was a pleasant surprise for both of us!Comment

Happy mother's day to everyone! Spent the day yesterday at the grocery store, running errands and cleaning house. The Morning today preparing dinner (steak, vegetable risoto, asparagrus, rolls, salad, etc) for my parents, my mother-in-law, my brother and my household - with help of course. Dinner is now complete, dishes are in the dishwasher, food has been divided up and put away, guests have left and husband is playing with the boys outside....think it's time for this momma to sneak away to the sewing room! Hope you all enjoy your day today!Comment

I've been swamped with trying hard to finish my son's graduation quilt, my DH had two international work trips this past month, a week each (well, one in April, one in May), so I was solo for a while, etc......life is nuts. But, the quilt is off being professionally basted (my new favorite thing -- a new shop that has quilt fabric and both a sit-down and a stand-up long arm will do lessons, rent time on the machines, or quilt for you, but will also load in your quilt on the long arm, baste it, and return it to you. Hooray!! I don't have space large enough for this giant bed quilt, to lay it out and get it totally smooth to baste it, so this is wonderful!!!
While she has it, I'm assembling a UFO/WIP real quick so I can practice my quilting before doing the graduation quilt, and then must do my April and May rows.......ack! Running late on all sorts of things....
